Welcome to the Parley Room, a culinary jewel nestled at 25 State Cir, Annapolis, MD 21401. This vibrant establishment has carved out a reputation for excellence, enchanting locals and visitors alike with its innovative twist on classic dishes and expertly crafted cocktails. As I stepped through the understated entrance, which can sometimes be a bit hard to find, I was immediately embraced by an atmosphere that felt both warm and welcoming—a true testament to the hospitality emphasized by both staff and the culinary team led by Chef Anthony.

The Parley Room is not just another restaurant; it’s an experience that engages all the senses. Patrons rave about the inventive cocktails, like the classic Old Fashioned which comes highly recommended by guests like Chon Becerra, who found the bartender’s expertise to elevate the overall experience. The drinks list features a delightful selection, with wines by the glass starting at just US$10 and can beers from renowned brewers like Firestone and Southern Tier. For those looking to indulge, the Champagne selection promises a celebratory feel, perfectly suited for an evening out.

But the true highlights here are the dishes that grace the menu. Reviews sing the praises of unique offerings such as catfish cakes, which Mary Bruce declares incredible, and the famed egg salad that John Tomarchio asserts is inexplicably delicious. It’s as if the Parley Room taps into a hidden culinary talent, taking simple ingredients and transforming them into plates that surprise with flavor and execution. The burrata paired with peaches is an experience unto itself, while the tuna tartare dazzles with both presentation and taste.

Such thoughtful details extend beyond the food. The location boasts stunning views, with a terrace that overlooks the picturesque Annapolis skyline. Enjoying a plate of wild mushrooms on a croissant while sipping a chilled rosé under the iconic Capital dome is an experience that speaks of comfort and connection, as articulated by John in his review. This perception of the Parley Room as a hidden gem is further enhanced by the quality of service, where bartenders like Cal and Omar leave a lasting impression on guests, making every visit memorable.

In a city filled with dining choices, the Parley Room stands out as a beacon of culinary creativity and welcoming warmth. Whether it's an afternoon cocktail on the patio or a cozy dinner inside, this place promises not just a meal, but an invitation to savor life’s pleasures in good company. I wholeheartedly recommend Parley Room for anyone seeking a delightful dining experience in Annapolis.

Love this spot -- highly recommend! Chef Anthony has created a true gem in Annapolis. The cocktails are inventive and fun, and he has menu offerings that are ahead-of-the-pack. (The catfish cakes are incredible!). Lots of Annapolis restaurants have similar menus.... Parlay is reaching out and being more inventive, a much needed addition to the scene here. Great hospitality (event when it's super busy). And the hotel above is also great! Be sure to ask Anthony if there's a 2-martini special!

The Parley Room is an absolute gem! They recently hosted an awesome deal with 47-cent Orange Crushes, and it was such a hit—there was a fantastic turnout! Not only were the drinks on point, but the food was delicious as well. It’s so refreshing to see a venue that isn't afraid to stand up for what they believe in. It adds an extra layer of meaning to supporting them. We’ll definitely continue coming back to support Parley Room and enjoy their great vibe, incredible food, and drinks! Highly recommend!

The Parley Room is a gem hiding in open sight. It overlooks Main Street going down to City Dock, but its entrace is around the corner on School street, at street level, at the back of a terrific terrace with one of Annapolis' best views of the State House dome. The restaurant's 2nd floor window view is an overview of West St., while its School St. Terrace is a first floor view from below of the dome. This somehow makes it hard to find, although when you do, you feel in on a great secret, hiding in open sight, as I say. It's not hard to find it once you do. But unassuming excellence is what the Parely Room excels at. It does the ordinary with such good taste, good judgment, good execution, that it surprises and delights. Everything is good quality in good taste, even the decor. It all feels so nice, so relaxing. The menu is limited, but well limited, and you can't quite figure out what makes their egg salad so good. It's only egg salad, just inexplicably delicious egg salad. And who knew that burrata with peaches is such a good idea? Tuna tartare that beautiful, at that price, in Annapolis? And I don't know what makes that octopus Spanish, but I know it makes it delicious. Delightfully delicious. And when I go for a bottle of wine, the well curated short-list is all the better for being short, and I'm surprised there's a Moulin a Vent on offing, and that it is such a delightful one. The bartender chats me up intelligently, but also knows when to stop so that I can savor my carbonara and bottle of Beaujolais. Then there are the cool cocktails on the Summer afternoon on the patio under the dome: classic cocktails with a hipster turn. Somehow both old and new, both classic and cool. I love the intelligent comfort and comfortable intelligence of the Parley Room. It knows how to make a simple but genuine pleasure out of wild mushrooms on a croissant out on the deck on a beautiful day with a glass of rose under the Capital dome; or a lunch at the bar of a winter afternoon indulgent with wine and surprisingly good gnocchi, given I don't like gnocchi. But I do like them at the Parley Room.

This is a must visit if you’re stopping through Annapolis or if you’re a local. The vibe is 1920’s, both in terms of decor and the cocktail menu. The appetizers are absolutely delicious and creative and there are no TVs to distract from good company. It’s located in the heart of Main Street in downtown Annapolis. You’ll enter from the stairs on the left of my Vida Taco Bar (see my photo). The drinks are great and the appetizers are absolutely delicious. The patio faces the state house so you feel like you’re getting a historic experience. Can’t recommend this business enough. (I was here at 1pm so my photos don’t show a big crowd, but at night it comes to life). If your server and bartender is Omar, you’re in good hands.

We held our daughter’s Welcome Party before her wedding. I can’t recommend a better place for a gathering. Anthony and staff knocked it out of the park with custom craft cocktails individually chosen for the bride and groom. Guests complimented that they were the best cocktails they have had- especially the Aviation. They also created a chocolate rimmed mint flavored martini. We started working with Anthony several months before the event and I knew that we were in extremely capable hands. He took ownership of the event and suggested appropriate appetizers and desserts for the crowd. His enthusiasm for crafting the perfect event was much appreciated. He also catered a brunch for the bride and bridesmaids the next morning that was so beautiful and appealing. It was such a great weekend.
